If You’re Not Inspired, Become Inspired!
Last night (Monday, 5 January, 2009) I listened to Alex Mandossian deliver Module 3 of this year’s “Teleseminar Secrets” course.
I was so inspired by Alex in 2005 that I enrolled in his annual Teleseminar Secrets course and founded the Teleseminar Secrets “100% Club” by attending every minute of Alex’s instructional calls and Q&A sessions PLUS every minute of every Q&A call with Stu McLaren that year.
Then I repeated that feat (and it is, indeed a feat!) in the second year, when Alex invited me to be one of his hand-picked Teleseminar Secrets Coaches, a role in which I’m proud yet humble to still be serving.
During my second year in Teleseminar Secrets, I coined the term “Teleseminarians” when I reflected upon how much I was inspired, and joked about “being a devotee of the teachings of Teleseminar Secrets.”
Alex continually inspires me. His blend of personal style as he delivers his invaluable content that mixes business acumen with the message of personal authenticity and integrity is one that I resonate with.
Fortunately, Alex isn’t the only person who embodies this, although unfortunately far too few people as successful in business, do.
There are many people by whom I’m inspired. So although I’m not going to list them today, I’m thinking of them.
What about them inspires me? What qualities? What “ways of being?” What actions? What knowledge? What wisdom? What beliefs? What about them do I wish to emulate and embody?
I love being, and feeling, inspired. It inspires me. (Ah, Yes! The Universal Law that what you focus upon expands!)
Who – and what – inspires you?
Begin by calling those people and those things to mind.
However, I strongly encourage you to not stop there.
Take notes. Put the qualities, ways of beings, and things you are inspired to accomplish on note cards and put them in places you’ll see them often.
Remember, however, that while inspiration is an essential component of success, inspiration alone is… bupkus. It’s a good feeling (which is certainly enjoyable) that without action can result only in future disappointment. Hope is wonderful as an incentivizer. Hope gone awry is not an enjoyable experience.
So once you’ve inspired yourself, determine how you will ACT on that inspiration. Use your inspiration to motivate you to put yourself in gear and move steadfastly toward what you seek – whether it be the qualities you wish to embody, or some tangible result you want to produce.
Who – and what – inspires you?
What results are you achieving that are sparked by your being and feeling inspired?
